  We got involved with goats when I was looking for the perfect farm animal to get as a pet for my preschooler. Fiber goats are small, friendly, and so very snuggly. So, we ended up with Sage, who has lovely mocha colored fiber. A few years later, we moved on to breeding Nigerian Dwarf goats. Nigerians are little powerhouse milkers that are very easy to care for and a joy to be around.

One focus has been to raise goats that are very friendly and well-mannered. That has been an easy mark to hit since our animals get daily attention and tons of affection. My two young sons are out in the yard playing with our goats every day. We also focus on correct conformation and high milk yield. Our goats have received very nice Linear Appraisal scores. Our goats are also leash and stand trained so they are very easy to manage for routine care, travel and show.

We also raise and breed German and French Angoras and Mini Rex rabbits. The have incredibly nice wool in all different colors, which we shear every 3 months and sell to handspinners. Our Mini-Rexes are colorful and great pets. We often have baby bunnies for sale. We've decided to keep our rabbitry small so that we can spoil our bunnies with lots of daily attention and grooming. They are certainly a joy in our lives.

"The fruit of righteousness will be peace;
the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.
How blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream,
and letting your cattle and donkeys range free."
