Le Maison du Poulet...built in a weekend from some scraps and some new materials.
We have 10 hens so a 4x3' home is just fine and saved on building costs.
They have their little ramp into the henhouse that we shut at night.
The bottom is wire for allowing icky stuff to fall through.
Notice the little chickie diner on the right side.
Plenty of ventilation at top - OK, I'm a maniac about preventing respiratory disease.
The tarp in the background was to prevent the neighbor's dogs from staring TV-dinner-style at the hens but it keeps blowing off.
The winds here are insane at times...couldn't be my lazy job at tarp tying...nah.

There is a door on the front that opens to allow for easy cleaning.
Two closet poles at different heights provide plenty of roosting space.
And, there are four nesting boxes in back with a slanted roof to prevent roosting (and therefore droppings) on top.
Sorry Honey and Ruby, you can have your privacy back again now.

Here's the back door that allows my sons to gather the eggs from the nesting boxes each day.
I can hardly wait until my toddler learns to get them to the house without dropping them!
