| Here's a place for the goats to get out of the sun and rain. They like to lounge up near the house in the afternoon so this shelter is built outside our family room. Our pasture is fenced in such a way that the fencing comes off the sides of the house, thus allowing the goats access to the back and side of our living areas. Thre is nothing more fun than having our llama inquire through the window as I'm checking email or having a goatie peer through the kitchen window when I'm cooking dinner. |

| This shelter was an old wellhouse. We cut off the top and capped it with a sturdy sheet of plywood. This is a favorite spot in the middle of the pasture during the summer. There are lots of old growth Douglas Firs surrounding it for shade. The goats like to lounge on top, inside, and around the sides. Our llama rests on the bare earth spot just in front where she has an excellent view of the entire pasture. |
